A stampede has occurred at the annual hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia
killing 310 people. The country’s civil defence confirmed that at the
least 400 people got injured. Real reasons for the stampede is still
unclear.
Pilgrims had gathered at Mina for the symbolic throwing of ‘stone at
the devil’, which marks the last day of the pilgrim when the ugly
incident occurred.
Recall that in 2006, 364 pilgrims were killed during a stoning ritual in Mina.
